ITEMS SPECIFICALLY RAISED BY THE MIDLANDS:
1. Can we agree on what teams will be in the league at the Annual Meeting?
2. Can we agree that the Junior Rules of Competition should be sent out 2 weeks before the Annual Meeting and Clubs should sign off at the Annual Meeting?
3. Why is 7:30pm the latest face-off time if conference training starts at 11pm.
4. Is the YMC purpose just to administer the leagues and not there to help the clubs with any issues that they have? – (Rita reply: This was discussed at the AGM and is in the minutes)
5. Would like the 3rd/4th playoff games to be reinstated at the Junior Finals.
6. Are Widnes being fined from withdrawing from the league?
7. Rules of competition to be updated to reflect Val’s new LOA instructions.
8. Rules of Competition clarified re “International” duty re England 15/16/17 fitness camp.
9. At the Annual meeting, it was agreed that the discussion on a reboot of conference would be further investigated – what is happening? (Rita reply: This is for EIHA Board / Tournament committee)
10. Is there a Dispensation form to register players in a team at the older age group – is this form new and was it sent out?) Why is it not referred to in the RoC?
11. U10s jamboree in morning of Elite League play-offs?
12. Jamboree – can we have LTP kids?
13. Do RoC mention the reasons why a player cannot transfer ie only if money is owed to their current club?
14. Demonstration of TeamApp, which is being used by the Midlands.
15. Registrations: Val does a great job, but is overwhelmed at the start of the season. Should we have regional assistants to help her out?
16. Changing Rooms policy at conference sessions – should they be monitored to stop any inter-club “banter”?
17. Match penalties – is there a difference between a match ban received pre-season and during the season – the rules are not clear.

31. Reflections from the AGM / Annual Meeting:
§ All thought that the YMC / Board are very protective regarding information.
§ No transparency
§ Members are “long in the tooth”
§ There are no succession plans
§ People take things personal
32. Ken Taggart C2C Interview: Thought that this gave an unacceptably poor image of ice hockey in the UK. Has action been taken?
33. Comments on the Rules of Competition from Sutton:
Rule 3.3
What happens if the game “cannot proceed”? Rule 9.4 applies? Suggest reference to Rule 9.4?
Rule 5.1
Why has this rule changed? Why are there no penalties for a Club winning the league and electing to stay in D2?
Rule 9.3
There appears to be too many open-ends and with phrases like “… the EIHA will not get involved…” is likely to create a problem at some point. Suggest this rule needs to be re-drafted with outcomes being included for the sake of clarity.
34. The U10s handbook requires a review. The number of ice slots required is three (in the handbook) although we are actually asking for two.
Comments from Nottingham
35. Games and associated fees are expensive. is it possible to restrict certain games to two officials?
36. Can we seek to ensure that local officials are selected in order to reduce travel costs?
37. Can a system be put in place where coaches are automatically re-registered and DBS checked? This may reduce problems such as those at Telford last season.
38. Some professional players would like to assist in coaching teams,.How can we make this as easy a process as possible and what will the EIHA do to support this?
39. Solihull is being asked to pay for 6 hours ice time not used in September. Fixtures were released late and they have to give 1 month notice to the rink. Should the EIHA pay?
40. Sheffield v Solihull U12s Decision re 5-0 as NM was registered for wrong team.
41. RoC need changing so that players under 5 can be registered
